Gosung Cinema, in conjunction with the Korean Film Archive and Youtube.com is proud to present our first-ever, international, free, simulcast. At precisely 8:10 Korea Standard Time, viewers around the world will tune in their computers to watch tonight’s screening, the classic 1988 film, ‘Chilsu and Mansu’, as if they were really seated in the Gosung Cinema itself.  What time does the film screen? Easy, 8:10 PM KST. But what does that mean for your timezone? Look at this list of time zones you might potentially live in. In order to participate fully, start your viewing at the stroke of your timezone’s equivalent to 8:10 PM KST. This event is NOT for those on the Korean peninsula, or those with the means to attend Gosung Cinema’s screening of the 1988 classic, ‘Chilsu and Mansu’ in person. Gosung Cinema, in conjunction with the Korean Film Archive and Youtube.com, has organized this event for the thousands of Gosung Cinema fans who don’t have the good luck to live nearby. If you are in Korea, follow the directions here to attend the cinema in person.  Sometime this afternoon, KST, Gosung Cinema will post the link on their tumblr, gosungcinema.tumblr.com. Click on the link ahead of time to make sure the film loads, but do not start the film until the correct time. We’re so excited to offer you this opportunity to participate in something big, so whether it’s night, day or morning, we’ll see you at Gosung Cinema’s screening of the 1988 Korean New Wave classic, ‘Chilsu and Mansu’.
